Dvir Bar-Gal’s FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE Launch – This Saturday in Shanghai

Dvir Bar-Gal has been knocking around Shanghai for years doing great work on the history of the old Jewish ghetto and the preservation of old Jewish gravestones (see here). He’s also an excellent photography as these examples of his work show and he is launching a new collection of his work this weekend in Shanghai.

Dvir Bar-Gal is an Israeli TV Journalist and Photojournalist residing, working in Shanghai since 2001. During this time, he has captured in pictures various aspects of the city and its transformations.

Bar-Gal’s FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE visualizes the first decade of the 21^st century in Shanghai spiced with some of  the ironies and paradoxes offered by this  unique city.
