Midnight in Peking – UK Kindle edition now available
Posted: May 31st, 2012 | 4 Comments »Today is launch day for the UK Kindle edition of Midnight in Peking – see here to buy on amazon.co.uk and here for their Kindle blog, called Kindle Post apparently. And by the way, for the rest of May (not long now) the paperback is on Amazon at under six quid.
You are doing well in the UK right now..all week I have been listening to Book of The Week – ‘Midnight in Peking’ on BBC Radio 4 at 07:30hrs here (00:30hrs UK time, originally broadcast earlier in the morning ?09:45hrs) and The Sunday Times has a review (v.favourable) in The Culture Section. I alerted all my friends and family back there about the serialisation and they’ve been listening avidly all week. Bit of a shame; I was going to buy them the book…..!
Anyway, well done! Keep up the good work.

There’s loads more in the book that they cut from the Radio 4 abridged version due to time – and there’s loads of pictures too!!
I’ve read it…and attended a very enlightening talk you gave to a large group of Shanghai ladies, last November!
It’s a tremendous book; it was my choice for my book club’s Book of the Month…and this in turn resulted in an evening of very lively discussion.
Is there still a film being planned? With Clive Owen playing you??
sadly I doubt I’ll be in the Tv version – Clive Owen or no Clive Owen
But it is moving ahead….and quite fast too
