The Black Cat Bar – 1960s

This is a flyer for the Black Cat Bar in Taipei given out some time in the 1960s. Of course by this time such places and such music was well verboten in Mainland China though I rather like the way the decapitated head images hark back to a lot of the fliers, ads and lay out of the mosquito press in Shanghai in the 1930s – still being used as a design style in 1960s Taiwan.
