OzCham Midnight in Peking Murder Walk – 30/10/12

Posted: October 26th, 2012 | No Comments »

I’m leading another evening walk through the sites of the murder of Pamela Werner for the Australian Chamber of Commerce this coming Tuesday. Details of how to rsvp and all that on their site here…Also somebody I think instagrammed and Photoshopped me at the bottom of the now infamous Fox Tower!!

Join AustCham the night before Halloween for this great opportunity to meet best selling novelist Paul French.

Mr French will lead a nighttime walking tour of Beijing’s Legation Quarter and former ‘Badlands’. His story centers around the real-life murder of young Brit Pamela Werner in Peking in 1937, and in particular the eerie Dongbianmen Watchtower, where her body was found. The tour will end at a great Beijing restaurant (TBC) where cocktails and canapés will be waiting, and there will be the opportunity to ask French more questions about how he solved a murder 75 years after it took place.

Cost: 500RMB/person

Venue: The walk will start from Beijing Railway Station and end at Maison Boulud for drinks and canapes

Includes: Guided walking tour, signed copy of ‘Murder in Peking’, drinks/canapes
