A lovely cover from the Japanese shipping line NYK for 1936 edited by T. Kawata for tourists using the line. the book included maps and two full page colour woodblock prints. Divided into sections the book contained adverts as well as guides to Japan, Taiwan and Takao, Chosen, Kwantung Territory, Manchoukuo (shoowing NYK was on board with the Japanese occupation of Chinese territory), China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, French Indo-China, Siam, the Malaya Straits Settlements, Java & the Celebes, Burma & Ceylon, British India, Australia and New Zealand as well as briefer sections on many European countries, South Africa, the USA, Turkey, Greece and Egypt.
