Posted: December 10th, 2012 | No Comments »…I just thought I’d pop this cover up as we were on the subject – it’s interesting as it includes two things of note – 1) a sample of the lovely top to bottom trademark Sapajou signature and 2) that this edition was published by Cleveland-based The World Publishing Company, a firm that specialised in printing bibles and dictionaries. In the mid-1930s the firm’s publishing activities expanded into producing inexpensive editions of good literature for sale in drugstores and dime stores as well as in existing bookstores.
