Sleepless in Shanghai?

Posted: January 30th, 2010 | No Comments »

Arts and Crafts Bedsteads was the place to go for a good night’s rest in 1920s Shanghai. Purveyors of lovely looking beds to the discerning Shanghailander. You’ll note that people in those days were far more sensible in their sleeping arrangements opting for single beds and avoiding all that somnabulent fighting over duvets, silly ‘spooning’ and unecessary cuddling. When procreation time came around you simply (note the wheels) pushed the beds together, did the necessary, and then pushed them apart for a good night’s kip. Very civilised.
